Many thanks to the Committee for inviting me to judge the Special Awards classes at your show.

Special Award Whippet Yearling Dog or Bitch (6/3abs)

  1. Allen’s Lolani Mocha Martini At Zoraden. 17 months old, red fawn bitch of correct size, presented in beautiful condition. Very feminine head and with a lovely expression. Well-balanced front to rear, excellent depth and fill. Stands on good feet with the correct spring of pastern. She has a beautiful smooth outline, with curvy topline and underline. She really excels on the move, so clean coming and going, and with beautiful effortless profile movement.
  2. Perkins’ Southgrove Keep It Moving At Zeglynn (Imp). 19 months old, fawn dog. Very elegant male of correct size. Very smooth to go over and nothing exaggerated. He has a very handsome head, good ears and an elegant neck. Well laid shoulders and the correct return of upper arm. He has a curvy topline with a corresponding underline. Moderately angulated, well muscled rear quarters. Moved very well in profile.

Special Award Whippet Open Dog or Bitch (12/3abs)

This was such a lovely class, I was truly spoilt for choice.

  1. 1. Neale’s Ch Runaround Starman At Stormalong JW. 4 year old, fawn dog. Presented in beautiful condition. This dog is such a classic whippet; elegant, curvy and so moderate. Masculine head, elegant neck, into smooth, well laid shoulders. He has the most beautiful curvy topline and underline. Correct, moderate rear angulation, with strong second thighs and low hocks. He really impressed on the move being foot perfect on the up and back.
  2. Samson’s Romaclove The Power of Love. 2 year old, blue bitch with white trim. This bitch has the most beautiful coat and excellent muscle tone. She is correct for size. Balanced angulation front and rear, elegant but strong neck into well laid shoulders. She has correct spring of pastern. Curvy topline and underline. Excellent fill and depth of chest. She really comes into her own on the move; an effortless profile mover and sound up and back.
